Susan is a visual artist, focusing on acrylic paintings on canvas and specializing in Western Canadian landscapes, as well as speculative fiction paintings. Susan works both from photographs and from imagination to create a wide variety of moods, themes, and colours in her art. A lifelong outdoors enthusiast, Susan is inspired by the views she has encountered during her many hiking, backpacking, and motorcycle touring trips through Alberta, British Columbia, the Yukon, Alaska, and the Northwest Territories. Her work has been shown at the Western Showcase of the Calgary Stampede, Fine Arts and Crafts Event, and Calyx Distinctive Arts, in Calgary.
