Book 4 submitted to the publisher!

Finished the novel revisions and submitted Rivers of Ivy to my publisher. Yay!

We had a small family gathering for my sister, and her celebration of life won’t be until spring, so I’m not sure how busy I will be with family for a bit. It’s all very strange. However, I will be taking on a couple of editing clients, as well as finishing my sister’s book, while I wait for feedback from my publisher.

Book Review: The Three Body Problem, by Cixin Liu

Science Fiction 3/5

A modern classic, this first book of the Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy recounts the underpinnings of Earth’s first contact with inhabitants of a planet doomed by the Three Body Problem. A must-read for students of science fiction with compelling central ideas, but I found the plot slow and wandering.

Sad news.

On Thursday, my older sister passed away, so there are family things to focus on for now. Also, my sister was a nonfiction writer, about 80% of the way through a biography for which she has already received a partial payment, so I’m going to jump in to finish and edit it.
