At Anna’s Art Show, I sold four paintings! A fun day–saw lots of people I know, and had a great time, and it was also profitable! A very classy art show, and a success all around.

Ever write a story and see two obvious paths: the hero does this, or s/he does that? Both are telegraphed from the beginning, so neither one comes as much of a surprise at the end. What is wanted is that creative third option: the one that was there all along, but no one saw coming–the inevitable surprise. Gee, those story endings are hard to find. I woke up Sunday morning with a creative third option for a story I am working on…was happy to find it, but not sure it really fits the size of my story. Maybe I need a creative fourth option…

So, today, I sold four paintings. Not the big ones, but nevertheless, a good day.

Finished my novel edits. Now just one more read-through before I submit to my critique group. I am so happy with it so far!

Very cool to see lots of friends from past conventions and meet new ones. Inspiring to talk writing. I am so pumped to get back to work!
