Well, 2019 is growing to a close and I have one work this year eligible for the upcoming awards season: Flights of Marigold (Laksa Media) confronts issues of addictions in an epic fantasy world of intrigue and betrayal.

Meg and Janat Falkyn, fugitive daughters of an imperial magiel, escape to the edge of the world to restore their people’s access to their Gods—by recapturing a fabled prayer stone. I’ve been editing this week, and working with my 2 clients. A reprint of my article on making book videos appeared on the SF Canada website.

This week, I’ve been mostly editing for clients and teaching, so not much work on my own writing; but the paid work is going well, and I hope to be back on the horse next week.

Did the last class of my writing class, and was happily surprised when my 10 students all decided to form a writers group! Spent the week revising my novel outline using my crit group’s comments, and made some progress with my mentee, who was happy with the way things are starting out between us.

This week: finished a novel analysis for a client, then have been spending the rest of the time at WFC. I’m on two panels and have a reading. It’s been great to re-connect with old friends, even though it’s virtual. However, the conference is extremely well organized by some super-enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly volunteers.
