Yay! Loving an intimate, 7-person writers’ retreat with friends in the mountains. Writing all day and all evening, punctuated with an occasional trip to the hot tub and dinner/conversation about writing. Getting TONS done!
Yeah, okay–a prologue
I added a prologue to the novel. I know they are controversial, but…I really like it. Sigh.
Novel revisions going well
I really have a fine critique group who give me wonderful feedback: useable suggestions that improve my work and share a vision for what I am trying to do. Revision is always lots of work, and is sometimes tough, but they give me critique that is not overwhelming. Really enjoying working on my current novel.
Teaching at the Alexandra Centre
Had a great day today teaching “Backstory Secrets” at the Alexandra Centre. Nine students were wonderful participants and the discussion was excellent. Very pumped!
A Bit of a distraction…?
So, last Saturday, I was coaching my daughter as she gave birth to a wonderful baby boy! Then all this week, I was helping her and her partner with the new little one. They are well settled, now. And…writing? Not a word.
