Sometimes I do, and today was one of those days. Got up again–about 5 times–between 4:30 and 5:30 and I think I’m over the little place where I was stuck. So excited!
Wrote another chapter for the novel
It is going so smoothly–is something wrong? Finished Chapter 10 yesterday and was pulled in too many directions to look at it today, but tomorrow–revision! Very happy, though.
Another story sent out
So, I did an edit of my new story and will let it sit for a month before another pass, then it goes into the workshop. I had another look at a story I finished before Christmas and was pleased that it stands up (I made a couple of minor wording changes), so submitted it. Continuing with the novel!
Sold a Story to Analog!!
My fourth story to a Top Three publication! The story is called, “Turning It Off,” and it is a humorous piece about teenagers who learn how to turn off the private shields everyone wears to protect them from bumps and scrapes. With, of course, unintended results.
Finished the short story! Yay!
Rough draft of my new story is complete. I’ll polish it up for the end of the month, when I submit it for the summer workshop with Walter Jon Williams.
