Just spent 5 days at the Rocky Mountain Writers’ Retreat with 14 other writers and wrote almost 13,000 words. Not a record, though: Randy wrote 30,000. Planned out 22 scenes to finish the rough draft, and accomplished 15 of them. Very productive!
This weekend: off to V-con in Vancouver. A couple of weeks and I get another 3-day writers’ retreat. Hope to have the edits done, then!
Just spent 4 days writing and did 12 scenes following a secondary character through the novel to give context to his integral actions at the end of the book. Very satisfying! Now off to a 5-day retreat to do more!
Tomorrow, I head out for 4 days’ writing. Everything is ready to go. Yay!
Did some good hole-filling for my novel, and am ready for next week’s retreat–very focussed, knowing exactly what I need to accomplish!
It’s been a good week for writing: work done steadily every day, though sometimes not as many hours as I would have wished. However, next week I will have a 2-day writing retreat as I go to out-of-town meetings with Don (he has the meetings, not me, so I am free to write!) and the week after that I go to two, back-to-back retreats for a total of 8 writing days. Yay!
