Never thought I’d be a quilter, but that method seems to work best for dictation. I know what scenes I want in the novel and what they are supposed to accomplish, but on the bike without the outline in front of me to check, I can’t always remember the scenes in order. So I dictate a scene I know I’m going to need, and sort it out when I get onto my ipad. Will have some reorganizing to do later.

Have got the opening to the first Pirates novel—it’s what I wanted, and sets up the rest of the book and the series.

First drafts are crap, but I am getting used to dictating scenes in real time action, and it isn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. I can always edit later.

Figured out how to dictate into the mic inside my helmet so I can work on my novel while sitting on the back of the motorcycle going through Europe. I only do this on days we are on the superhighways, getting to our next destination.
