I completed the draft of my letter for the editing client, but now I’m taking a bit of a me-break: I’m at a writers’ retreat for 4 days. For this, I’ve decided to review an old project and maybe get it back into circulation.
Book Review: The Girl in the Ice, by Robert Bryndza
Mystery 4/5
Erika, a London detective, works with and against her police colleagues to uncover the killer of a beautiful socialite. I loved the police procedural elements and the convoluted clues uncovered to solve this mystery!
Submitted a short story!
Finished the short story and submitted it. Started my next edit–read the manuscript.
Book Review: The Hot Zone, by Richard Preston
Nonfiction 3/5
This book traces the discovery of the Ebola virus and its subsequent spread and containment. A fascinating read.
Finished the manuscript review–and wrote a short story, first one in a while. I’ll start another manuscript review this week. Also, I touched base with my publisher about edits to the current manuscript, and he isn’t ready to send the edits yet, but says they are coming…
