Had a lovely day at Anna’s Art Show, selling my paintings and books. Attendance was down this year, so sales weren’t great, but it was a fun day, and lots of people came by to talk about art. The other artists had some beautiful pieces, too.
Busy week
Taught at the Alexandra Centre, worked at the IFWA books table at Calgary Comic Expo, worked on the developmental edit of a memoir, and took on a new short story from an existing client. Oh, and submitted to Fantasy Magazine. Yeah–lots accomplished this week!
Second Video Out!!
Not gonna lie: I’m pretty excited. The second video for Bursts of Fire is out. The Cost is is a taste of images that deals with personal and political events in the story’s royal family. I think it turned out really great!
Invited to Young Writer Conference for 2020
I was just thinking: I wonder if I will be invited to speak at the Calgary Young Writers Conference this year? Maybe I should email someone. Then I checked my inbox and the invitation was sitting there! Yay! I replied an immediate, “YES!”
Blue Pencil at Alexandra Centre
Had a great afternoon at the Alexandra Centre as one of six editors doing a blue pencil cafe. I saw six authors for half an hour each, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the writing. All could use support, but all had spark!
